Academic writing and publication are an inseparable part of student and lecturer’s life. For students, academic writing and publication are part of assignments, study completion, and as a provision for experience in entering the world of work, especially if a career is going to be a functional official in the bureaucracy who is actually required to be able to publish the results of their thoughts. Meanwhile, for lecturers, publications, especially in scientific journals, are part of the “tridharma perguruan tinggi” as well as a requirement for promotion according to the provisions of laws and regulations.

This was conveyed by the Managing Editor of JURNAL BISNIS & BIROKRASI: JURNAL Ilmu Administrasi dan Organisasi, Muhamad Imam Alfie Syarien, in a webinar organized by the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Tidar University, Magelang, Wednesday (12/8). Alfie attended to represent the Center for Governance, Public Policy and Business Studies, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia (FIA UI) to fulfill the invitation of the Dean of FISIP Untidar. The webinar was held through Zoom and was attended by 190 participants consisting of Untidar lecturers and students and several other universities in Java.

 

“Publications in scientific journals have four roles for a scholar: registration results of scholarly activities, certification results of scholarly activities, dissemination of scholarly works to the general public, and archiving of findings from scholarly activities,” said Alfie . In the activity which was opened by the Dean of FISIP, Prof. Untidar. Dr. Sri Suwitri, Alfie also invited the audience to have the courage to register, certify, disseminate, and archive his scientific works through JURNAL BISNIS & BIROKRASI: JURNAL Ilmu Administrasi dan Organisasi.
